Doug Fournier is the founder of Equity Ltd. and serves as President/CEO of the firm. He has been buying, selling and managing businesses in West Michigan since 1970. His experience includes successfully closing many business transactions.
Doug obtained his BA and MA from Western Michigan University. He taught school in Portage and at Grand Rapids Community College for a few years. Then for 20 years, he built his own business by buying and selling ten individual businesses in West Michigan.
In 1990 he began his career as a Business Intermediary, and he has owned his own Mergers & Acquisition firm since 1995. He is experienced in manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, construction, service, health and education, retail and has worked successfully with companies in many other industries.
Doug is married with four sons. Two are practicing attorneys living in Chicago, and two are living at home with Doug and his wife, Pamela.

Rob is a principal of Equity and manages the daily operations of the firm. He is the Vice- President COO/CFO.
Rob holds Bachelor’s in Business Management-Accounting from Grand Valley State University. He also has attended several postgraduate and continuing education workshops concerning Business Law, Financial Transactions, and Accounting...
Rob has been involved in a variety of business ventures, including being President and CEO of a company, and served as an expert in various business-related transactions. These include litigation support, raising capital, to helping a company with the wind-up and dissolution of the business. Also, Rob brings several years of hands-on experiences with sales, management, marketing, advertising, and financial management. During these business opportunities, Rob has developed an intrinsic ability to utilize skills and resources and build upon them to create a positive-productive work environment.
In 2008 Rob began working with Doug in various business ventures. He is experienced in manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, construction, service, health and education, retail and has worked successfully with companies in many other industries.
Rob is married to his wife Lisa, and together they have two sons, Jacob and Tyler. Rob and Lisa attend Ada Bible Church, and their children attend Byron Center Public Schools. Lisa is a special education teacher. Rob enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling, and sports.

Dr. Tim Taylor- Holland, MI.
In Memorial Sept 2018. Dr. Taylor is Rob Anderson's Father-in-Law and a retired commercial banker and serves as a consultant to Equity Ltd. and Managing Member of Axiom Consulting LLC. He served four banks as President and CEO during his 42-year career. Three of those banks were in some stage of Regulatory Supervision. The most severe was a cease Order issued by the Federal Reserve Board. In all cases, the banks were released from supervision and returned to acceptable profitability within one year. This demonstrated his innate talents and passions related to turning around troubled businesses.
During his career, Taylor also demonstrated leadership through a variety of civic, economic development, and faith-based roles. Uniquely, at age 14, he earned the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout award Dr. Taylor was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of The New Brunswick Theological Seminary, in New Brunswick, NJ. This Protestant seminary is the oldest in the United States, founded in 1784.
Following retirement from banking, Taylor completed his Doctor of Management degree. The intention was to continue service to others through being an educator and consultant. His classroom work has combined career-based experience with the theoretical. Courses he has taught include Strategic Management, Business Planning, Personal, and Business Finance, Organizational Communication, Leadership, and Organizational Design. These courses have been at both the Graduate and Undergraduate levels. On three occasions, Dr. Taylor has been nominated by students as an outstanding faculty member.
Taylor is most proud of his wife, Linda, and their 52 years of marriage, their three children, and seven grandsons. “Watching the outstanding parenting skills of one’s children has been a joy … a real tribute to our own parents’ teaching and leadership”, says Dr. Taylor.

Over a multifaceted career, Chuck has a wide breadth of experiences that all relate to defining what succeeds and applies that knowledge to helping business transitions go smoothly. From nearly two decades experience leading information technology teams, to nearly four years in a senior finance role, to a decade as a licensed attorney, Chuck’s experience in certainly broad. Leveraging his education in Business Administration, Information Systems, and Law, Chuck brings a dynamic and analytical mind to the forefront. Using these skills Chuck looks for viable solutions and improvements that focus on enhancing operations and propel businesses forward.
While managing and owning businesses, Chuck helped to define strategy, processes, and implement viable strategies to allow successful business to grow and expand. Ever watchful, Chuck learns from others and his personal experiences. He then applies that learning to appropriate situations relevant to the current transaction.
In the legal world, Chuck focuses on business transactions (merger and acquisitions, transformations, and business transition implementations) and estate planning. Through due diligence and effective planning, Chuck seeks to enable stakeholders to do and achieve more. Practical planning and advice help secure futures for business and individual clients. Chuck is known for creative solutions to both routine and complex issues, affording clients new angles when the common approaches are not ideal.
In his off time, Chuck enjoys time with his family, camping, watching movies, and being involved in his children’s education and lives. Active in Scouts BSA, Chuck is proud to be an adult leader and an Eagle Scout in the organization. Chuck is also a retired Commissioned Officer from the US Navy Reserves.
